Antoni Boys was a member of the Guild of St Luke in Antwerp in 1572. He was court painter to Archduke Ferdinand of Austria from 1579 to 1593. He is likely to have been the author of the 14 engravings illustrating a rare book that appeared in 1587 in Dillinen, and which describes the celebrations in Prague
