Constantin Brandel painted mostly landscapes in watercolour and scenes from Graeco-Roman antiquity. He also produced etchings and engravings in wood. A member of the Salon d'Automne, and exhibited there between 1907 and 1933. A solo exhibition of his engravings was held at the Musée d'Art
