A pupil of Bosio, Brion won several medals for works he exhibited at the Salon, including A Young Shepherd in 1819 and Child Playing Marbles in 1822. Subsequently, he devoted himself to portraiture for many years, his masterpieces in this genre being those of Abbé Haüy
