Born 1862 or 1863, in Birkenhead; died 1 May 1940, in Hampstead.

Painter, illustrator.

Brooke studied at the Royal Academy in London and then exhibited at the Royal Academy and the New Water-Colour Society in London between 1887 and 1892. He was awarded the Armitage medal in 1888. He specialised in producing illustrations for childrens' books.
