Painter, engraver. Figures, portraits, landscapes.

Cornélis de Bruyn was a pupil of T. van der Schuer, and spent much of his life travelling, at the expense of Witsen, burgomaster of Amsterdam. In 1674 he visited Rome, taking the name 'Adonis', in 1677 he was in Naples, in 1678 in Livorno
