This Jean Bullant should not be confused with the great architect who in 1542 built the chateau of Écouen for the Duke of Montmorency, the Tuileries for Catherine de' Medici, the Hôtel de Soissons, and part of Fontainebleau. He was solely an engraver and among his not very extensive
