Lucien Cahen-Michel, a pupil of Gabriel Ferrier and Jules Adler, worked in Montigny-sur-Loing. In Paris he took part in the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he became a member, winning a silver medal in 1929. He also exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants.
