Born 11 May 1722, in Leiden; died 1789, in The Hague.

Draughtsman.

Petrus Camper was a distinguished scholar, professor of zoology at the Athenaeum in Amsterdam and later in the universities of Franeker and Groningen. He was also a talented draughtsman, taught by Karel de Moor and later by A. Ziesenis, who produced excellent drawings of anatomy and animals.
