Painter, draughtsman.

William Carqueville studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, and for a short while in Paris. He initially worked for the art department of the Chicago Tribune. Later he set up his own lithographic press and became known for the posters that he designed, particularly for Lippincott's Magazine.
