Auguste Carvin studied under sculptors Henri Gauquié and Albert Roze at the École des Beaux-Arts in Amiens. He exhibited at the Paris Salon des Artistes Français, securing an honourable mention in 1907 and a silver medal in 1913. He is noted for his Box Tree at Easter (Pâques au buis) and Evening (Le Soir).
