Cavarozzi spent his youth in Rome, where he was a pupil of Roncalli. He became a protégé of the Marquis Giovanni Battista Crescenzi, a noted art lover and the city's Surveyor of Monuments. The two travelled to Madrid, where Cavarozzi was highly active, producing a Virgin and Child
