Painter, watercolourist, lithographer. Religious subjects, genre scenes, urban landscapes, landscapes with figures.

A pupil of Félix Storelli and Auguste Régnier, he exhibited at the Paris Salons from 1819 to 1859, winning a second-class medal in 1824, and a first-class medal in 1831. He specialised in brightly lit
