Painter.

Antoine Chantron studied with Raspey. A gunnery officer by profession, he painted only as an amateur. He amassed a fine collection of gouaches and pastels, which he gave to Avignon museum, and as administrator of the museum he collated the documentation for its first catalogue, published in 1857.
