Born 1660; died 1725.
Painter, draughtsman.
Son of Clemente, brother of the architect Michele, and the favourite pupil of P. Dandini. He spent a long period studying old masters in Bologna and Modena, and became well known as a portrait painter. He also painted frescoes, and was a writer and musician.
