[not available online]After learning the basic principles of drawing and engraving from a monk in Abbeville, Picardy, Daullé went to study with Hecquet in Paris. He was admitted into the Académie on 30 June 1742 after presenting a plate of the portrait of Rigaud. A brilliant group of engravers flourished
