Born probably on the 17 January 1696, in Ghent; died 24 February 1778, in Nivelles.

Laurent Delvaux was a pupil of Gerg Helderenberg and Dieudonné Plumer in Brussels and was strongly influenced by F. Dusquesnoy. In 1717 he worked in London at Westminster Abbey; in 1727 in Italy he copied antiquities for the king of Portugual. He
