Born 1761, in Douai; died 1827, in Paris.

Painter. Portraits, genre scenes, landscapes.

Desbordes was a student of Caullet and Brenet. Later he was often employed by Girodet and Gérard. Between 1819 and 1827, he exhibited irregularly at the Paris Salon. He was awarded a gold medal in 1809. He also produced Broken Wagon.
