Born 24 July 1871, in Nantes.

Engraver (etching).

Deville trained first with Henry Winslow in the USA and later with Auguste Lepère. Although based in the USA, he returned to France to fight in World War I in 1914. He was involved in the reconstruction of his country after the war as an architect and then turned to engraving aspects of the battlefield.
