Born 1770, in Paris; died 19 July 1842, in Paris.

Painter. Figures, portraits.

A pupil of Regnault, David and De Marne, Louis Benjamin Marie Devouges exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1793 to 1839, favouring pastoral scenes. He also did a number of portraits. During a trip to Russia, he painted a large number of pictures for Prince Narishkin's gallery.
