Wynford Dewhurst studied in Paris with Gérome, Gabriel Ferrier, Bouguereau and Benjamin Constant. His landscapes, with their use of light effects and atmospheric transparency, reveal his obvious admiration for Claude Monet. He was also a writer and in 1904 published Impressionist Painting, Its Genesis and Development, which included numerous accounts
