Georg Donner was educated in Vienna, then at the Heiligenkreuz Monastery in the studio of G. Giuliani who sent him to work at the palace of Liechtenstein. Subsequently the archbishop, Count Harrach, called him to Salzburg in 1725 where he created the statues for the staircase of the Mirabelle castle. After 1725
