Berthe Dubail was a student at the Académie de Mons. She started out as a Neo-Expressionist artist, then took her work in an abstract direction. She is specifically interested in materials and - from 1965 onward - light, which she encloses in full, serene, ovoid forms. There was a major retrospective exhibition
