Born 29 February 1813, in Paris; died 1892.


A pupil of Ramey, Vital Dubray entered the École des Beaux-Arts in 1829. He won a third-class medal in 1844. In 1857 he was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur and in 1865 was promoted to officer. He first showed work at the 1840 Salon and continued showing there until 1882. His works include
