Pierre Dulieu was a pupil of Jacques Maes at the art school in St Joost-ten-Node. He applies his paint in a Post-Impressionist manner, although the intensity of his colour palette is closer to Expressionism. He often draws his inspiration from the landscapes of Provence.

He has won several prizes, including the Campo prize in Antwerp,
