François Dumont was the son and pupil of Pierre Dumont. He married Coypel's sister and entered the Académie in 1712 with a Titan Struck Down, a marble now in the Louvre. His works include: at the church of St-Sulpice, on the outside, two groups of children; inside: St John, St Joseph, St Peter and
