Painter, watercolourist, draughtsman. History painting, mythological subjects.

Johannes Bernardus Duvivier was a pupil of Hubert and Paul de Kock, and of Suvée in Paris in 1783. He worked in Italy from 1790 until 1796 before settling in Paris and becoming naturalised in France.
