In 1761, Pierre Charles Duvivier exhibited still-lifes after the manner of Chardin in the Salon de la Jeunesse. He was Director of the Savonnerie des Gobelins (state factory of Gobelin tapestries in Paris). He is attributed with a Gobelin tapestry showing the portrait of Louis XV, which in 1869 was exhibited
