Born 1 August 1658, in Innsbruck; died 1 June 1715, in Düsseldorf.

Sculptor.

After a long stay in Rome, Elhafen settled in Vienna, then was summoned to Düsseldorf by the Elector John William. He was inspired mainly by ancient history in paintings such as Battles and the Rape of the Sabine Women, and by mythology, in paintings such as the Judgement of
