Born 26 October 1851, in Bagnères-de-Bigorre; died August 1911, in Paris.

Sculptor.

Jean Escoula, who was taught by Gautherin, first exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1876 and was a member of the Salon des Artistes Français from 1885. He won a third-class medal in 1881, a second-class in 1882, and a gold medal at the Expositions Universelles of 1889
