French, 20th century, male.
Painter.
Yves Faucheur was an artist in Paris. He was the pupil of Fernand Léger in 1948, and was strongly influenced by him. Faucheur's paintings are figurative, with large areas of flat colour and simplified, often geometric forms. The ensemble is monumental, solid, brightly coloured, giving a vigorous character to his work.
