Born 25 July 1653, in Joigny (Yonne); died 5 January 1732, in Paris.

Painter.

Jacques Philippe Ferrand was the pupil of Mignard and of Samuel Bernard, and was admitted as an academician on 27 May 1699. He made several journeys to Germany and England. In 1699 he went to Turin and executed several works for the Duke of Savoy. War obliged
