Ercole Ferrata was possibly a pupil of L'Algarde. It is believed he worked alongside Bernini on sculptures for the pulpit of St Peter's in Rome, and Bernini was certainly an influence on his work. He is recorded as working around 1677 for Duke Como III of Tuscany. He was
