Born 1719, in Paris; died 1794, in Paris.


Étienne Ficquet was the pupil of G. F. Schmidt and Le Bas. He executed the engravings of the Lives of the Flemish and Dutch Painters by Descamps. He is also remembered for numerous portraits, including one of Mme de Maintenon after Mignard. He was an excellent engraver with a delicate touch.
