Édouard Fraisse is known mainly for his compositions inspired by sport. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français and the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts; he also exhibited at the Salon d'Automne. He was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur in 1929
