Son of the sculptor Sir George Frampton, Meredith Frampton attended Westminster School until 1910 and then studied at St John's Wood Art School. Between 1912 and 1915 he studied at the Royal Academy Schools, winning first prize and a silver medal for his painting A Harvest Procession
