Born 5 February 1805, in Breslau (now Wroclaw, Poland); died May 1890, in Danzig (now Gdansk, Poland).


Rudolf Freitag was a pupil of Schaller and Kasaamann. He lived in Rome for many years as a collaborator of Thorvaldsen. His works include the busts of Prince Albert of Prussia, Frederick-William IV and King William.
