Born in Passau (Bavaria), Germany.

Danube School (or style of).

This artist was the son of Rueland Frueauf the Elder. It is not easy to distinguish his work from that of his father. However, a number of panels from retables in the abbey of Klosterneuburg, near Vienna, have been fairly confidently attributed to Rueland the Younger: Mount of Olives
