Born 1912, in Ninohe, Iwate; died 5 February 2002, in Tokyo.

Sculptor.

Funakoshi Yasutake he entered the sculpture course at Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1934. In 1939 on graduating he co-founded the sculpture division of the Shin Seisaku Kyokai and started to carve in marble. In 1941 he opened a joint exhibit with Matsumoto Shunsuke in Morioka. He also entered works
