Sculptor.

Enrolled at the École des Beaux-Arts on 6 April 1854 and studied under Jouffroy. Charles Gauthier was awarded silver at the 1861 Prix de Rome and received further medal awards in 1865, 1866 and 1869. He was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur in 1872. Gauthier exhibited at the
