Adolphe Giraldon was a pupil of François Louis Français and Luc-Olivier Merson and exhibited at the Salon de Paris. He went to live in Glasgow and was appointed professor of decorative arts at the Glasgow School of Art. He created models of furniture, jewellery, textiles
