Born 1787, in Vincennes (Val-de-Marne); died 17 January 1870, in Paris.

Engraver.

Alexis Girard studied under Regnault and exhibited at the Salon from 1819 to 1866. He was awarded medals on several occasions and was made a member of the Légion d'Honneur on 14 August 1866. Girard engraved religious and historical subjects, together with numerous portraits.
