Born 6 May 1801, in Wolxheim; died 9 April 1876, in Strasbourg.

Sculptor.

Grass entered the École des Beaux-Arts on 4 October 1822. He was pupil with Ohmacht and de Bosio and obtained a second-class medal in 1834, later becoming a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur in 1865. He appeared at the Paris Salon from 1831 to 1873. His most important works are:
