Painter, engraver.

Rudolf Grossmann was the son of Marie Grossman and the grandson of the Baden court painter W. Dürr. He studied briefly at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, and then for a long time in Paris with Poulerauce and Lucien Simon.

He produced etchings and lithographs in particular.
