Pierre Guas was a French sculptor who lived in Spain and worked in Toledo, and his son Juan must have arrived in Spain in about 1453, at an early age. Working during the period of the Catholic kings, Juan Guas was one of the best representatives of the Isabelline style, a synthesis of Gothic architecture
