[not available online]René Guiette studied literature and began teaching himself to paint from 1919. He was the son of Jules Guiette and the brother of the poet Robert Guiette. He was an art critic and used the pseudonym Blaise Distol. He lived in a house built by Le Corbusier in Antwerp.
