Born 15 October 1824, in Kleinwrangelshof, near Dorpat (now Tartu, Estonia); died 7 October 1902, in Dorpat.

Painter.

Baltic School.

Daughter and pupil of A. Matthias Hagen-Schwartz, Julie Hagen-Schwartz exhibited fruit and flower paintings in 1842. She then studied in Dresden, Munich and Rome, with the aid of a bursary from the academy in St Petersburg, which awarded her the title of
