Born 9 July 1771, in Hilpoltstein, near Nuremberg (Bavaria); died 10 July 1839, in Nuremberg.

Painter, engraver. Portraits, landscapes.

After studying with Heideloff, Christoph Haller von Hallerstein continued his studies in Switzerland, Dresden, Berlin and Paris. He became professor of perspective at the school of art in Nuremberg. He engraved landscapes, views of towns and cities and portraits.
