Marie Felix Hippolyte-Lucas was a pupil of Isidore Pils, Karl Lehmann and Évariste Luminais.

He executed decorative paintings for the casino in Monte Carlo, the conference centre at the Musée Océanographique in Monaco, and three ceilings in the Préfecture du Rhône.
