Harriet Goodhue Hosmer was a pupil at Mrs. Charles Sedgwick’s School in Lenox, and studied drawing and sculpture in Boston. After working on anatomy at the at Missouri Medical College of St Louis she went to Rome, where she was a pupil of the English sculptor
