Henri Jamet studied under Gérome, Albert Maignan and Harpignies. He became a member of the Société des Artistes Français in 1890 and featured at its Salon, winning an honourable mention in 1897, a bronze medal in 1900 (Exposition Universelle) and a third class medal in 1906.
